Virtual Trip Group at the 11th EBAN Annual Congress of EBAN

Virtual Trip Entrepreneurial Ecosystem participated at the 11th Annual Congress of EBAN - The Trade Association for Business Angels, Seed Funds and other Early Stage Market Players that took place in Warsaw on May 12th and 13th 2011. Early stage investors from over 30 European countries, USA, Canada, and other developing markets attended the conference.

At the 11th EBAN Annual Congress was analyzed the progress of the early stage investments in Europe, which is important (4 billions per year). However, is not corresponding to the USA progress (19 billions per year). It worths mentioning that several South European countries participated at the 11th EBAN Annual Congress like Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece. Also, 10 people from Turkey participated. Overall, 350 early-stage investors participated at the 11th EBAN Annual Congress

The First Commercial Business Angels Network in Greece



During the 11th EBAN Annual Congress, Virtual Trip Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (Gold member of EBAN) announced that the First Commercial Business Angels Network will start operating in Greece (June, 2011). The First Commercial Business Angels Network aiming to develop early stage investments in the IT Industry. Furthermore, the First Commercial Business Angels Network in Greece with the cooperation of international strategic partnerships will set up a specialized early stage seed capital fund for cloud computing and mobile applications start-ups (October 2011).

On Tuesday, May 5 2011, Mr. Tsigos, Founder and CEO of the Virtual Trip Entrepreneurial Ecosystem analyzed the "Start-up Revolution" at the Festival d'Europa organized by the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.  Mr. Tsigos as President of YES - European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs, was speaker at the Festival d'Europa with important personalities from EU such as the President of the European Commission José Manuel Durão Barroso, the President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek and the member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank  Bini Smaghi.
